Over 6,000 students have studied at the Oriental Institute.
Approximately 120 courses are offered at the Oriental Institute.
In a typical year there are between 300 to 400 students.
Students often come from forty or more different countries.
The Pontifical Oriental Institute, with the help of benefactors (Including the ‘ “Istituto San Clemente I Pope and Martyr”), has a fund to award scholarships. These scholarships are intended to cover the subscription costs for ordinary students who are in a disadvantaged economic condition. For requests and the relevant forms, interested parties are requested to apply in the Secretariat.

The collection housed in the library of the Pontifical Oriental Institute constitutes one of the world’s most extensive collections on Eastern Christianity. Scholars from around the world come to do research here.
The Library includes approximately 230,000 volumes.
