Sts. Simeon and Anna

Saints Simeon and Anna were deemed worthy by the Lord to meet the infant Jesus at the Temple in Jerusalem. There, Simeon received Jesus in his arms and spoke the words repeated by the Church each evening at Vespers: “Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace…”
